A Puff Pop Balloon Race for the Ages!

The HALCO team gathered once again for another charity event. There was some excitement in the air for our Puff Pop Balloon Race, all to raise money for the European Lung Foundation (ELF).

The rules were simple; 2 teams were randomly picked, then like a relay race, 1 person from each team had to blow up their balloon, tie it up, race to the chairs opposite and pop their balloon! Only when a balloon popped could the next teammate start.

Everyone was having a great time, there were some iffy moments, like the very first balloon on Team A needing 4 people to tie it up, and some spectacular moments, like this balloon popping technique with serious air, check out the clip below.

Team B took a strong lead, with solid puffing and popping displays from all. But as the race went on, Team A started to claw their way back into contention. In the end however, it wasn't enough as Team B popped their last balloon and won the race.

As the balloon pieces settled, and everyone caught their breath, the winning team were presented with their prize - a big box of chocolates! We managed to raise an amazing £300 for ELF, a fantastic charity that works with patients to improve lung health and get them advance diagnosis, treatment and care.
