CONNTEX keeps logistics moving

Logistics depend on equipment that is ready for the next journey. Some of the most important components are easy to overlook: the fabric, fittings and fasteners that help vehicles get prepared for loading and back on the road. CONNTEX supplies PRO Sew On Hook & Loop to a major international logistics company for use on its lorry curtains. It is a practical application for a fastener designed to be sewn onto fabric and used in transport, where a reliable, reusable fastening can play a useful role in everyday operations.

Black Sew On Hook & Loop

A fastener made for sewn applications

Lorry curtains are opened and closed as vehicles are prepared for loading and onward travel. Their fastening components need to work as part of the wider curtain assembly, alongside the fabric and the way the system is used. CONNTEX’s PRO Sew On Hook & Loop is designed to be stitched directly onto fabric. This sewn construction makes it suitable for applications where adhesive-backed tape is not the right choice and the fastening needs to be integrated into a textile product. The product is made from 100% polyamide, high peel and shear strength, good resistance to UV light and up to 10,000 open-and-close cycles.

Hook and loop beyond the curtain

Lorry curtains are one example of how hook and loop can be used across logistics and transport. Different constructions suit different jobs, depending on what needs to be attached, bundled or accessed. For example, reusable back-to-back hook and loop can wrap around cables or hoses and fasten to itself, helping keep them grouped and easy to reposition. In vehicle interiors, hook and loop can also be used for items such as removable panels, floor mats, upholstery components, access panels, insulation and storage elements. These are separate applications requiring the appropriate product and specification. The right choice depends on the materials involved and the conditions the fastening will face.
