These ELK Shears have been manufactured with special steel blades and screws to ensure they can tackle aramid materials, and have black nylon handles for user comfort.

What is Aramid? Aramid is the short term for aromatic polyamide. Aramid fibres are man-made synthetics, known for being heat resistant and especially strong. Originally designed for the US military, this is an extremely durable, high-performance material, so having a shear or scissor to tackle this material efficiently is very important!

Intended use: Ideal for cutting aramid fibres, such as Kevlar, fibreglass, and carbon fibre.
